Losing it...Round 2...Week 2

I wasn't looking forward to weighing in this morning, but I said I would do it, so I did.

Let's recap, it's been awhile.
The last time I weighed in was a few months ago and I was at 196 lbs.
That is also what I weighed two weeks ago when I decided to rededicate my efforts and get busy.
This week I weigh 197 lbs.
Really, I'm not surprised...I always gain a few lbs. right after I start working out. Which is exactly what happened, I'm actually glad to see 197 this week.

But here's the deal...All pounds are not created equal. I do not look the same as I did a couple of months ago at 196 lbs. I was feeling good. I fit nicely into my jeans. I didn't notice until a couple of weeks ago, but pants are feeling quite tight and I've got the muffin top look going on, which is so NOT flattering on anyone. Though I wasn't gaining weight I think I probably exchanged several pounds of muscle for several pounds of fat. I think I was in denial, but I'm realizing now that I have a ways to go before I get back to the same spot I left off. That pretty much stinks, but it's so my fault for getting lazy.

One thing I regret not doing when I first started losing weight is not taking my measurements from the beginning. That is a more accurate way to keep track of progress and digression. At the moment I can't find a measuring tape, but I'm hoping to add measurements soon.

We are the same :) I weighed in at 196 this morning after a weekend of not caring what or how much I ate. I'm not exercising enough to gain muscle but at least I'm losing enough to buy smaller pants soon :) Keep up the good work.
