4th of July

Ken started our July 4th by taking the kids to the parade in Provo. Emma's tummy wasn't feeling well so I stayed home with her and Aftyn. It's was LOVELY let me tell ya.
After breakfast I put Aftyn down for a nap and Emma and I curled up in bed and read until we fell asleep. Later we woke and has a nice little chat laying side be side. It was pretty heavenly. I'm sorry Emma had to be sick, but I loved spending that time together. Reading, napping, and chatting are three of my very favorite things especially when I get to be with one of my favorite little people. Thanks Emma!

Later that evening we went to our local neighborhood "culta-sac of FIRE" and enjoyed the company of good friends and good food. My neighbor brought her face painting supplies and painted the kids faces which I think they enjoyed even more than the fireworks.

Happy Independence Day, America!
