Toilet Talk

This post was inspired by one of my friends "crappy" posts and also by a very funny little six year old boy.

Here are two conversations I had with Todd over the last 3 days.

*Todd had been in the bathroom awhile when he finally called out, "Mom, come look at my poop." At first I was alarmed that something might be wrong so I got up in a hurry to see if everything was okay. As I approached the bathroom Todd said, "Mom, you've got to take a picture of my poo-poo".

"Why would I want to take a picture of your poo-poo" I said.

"Because it's so BIG!" He replied.

Sure enough there in the toilet was a trophy sized do-do without any toilet paper may I add.

Oh my heck, this brought back a flood of nasty memories of growing up with my brothers. My son has turned into his Uncle Craig. Heaven help me!

*This next conversation occurred yesterday when Todd returned home from school. I was folding laundry and he came and snuggled in beside me.

"Todd did you have a rough day at school today?" I questioned.

"*Long Sigh* Yeah, I was trying to find a place I could pee outside."

"You were trying to find a place you could pee outside?" I repeated a little dumb founded.

"Well yeah mom, I am a construction worker". (That is his Halloween costume this year)

"*Long Sigh* Todd, please tell me you did not pee outside at school today". (While waiting for a response I was silently chanting....please, please, please...in my head)

To my great relief, and his apparent dismay he replied...

"No mom, I didn't. I held it".

Oh, thank goodness. Thank you Todd for not relieving yourself behind the tree at recess. I thought for a moment I was going to be sick as I waited for a call from the Principal's office.

Boys are nuts and adorable and gross rolled into one awesome little package, aren't they?

haha....It's nice to know that it's not just my boys that do this. I would tell you some that might scare you....so I'll just laugh and keep reading. I'm so glad you put these moments on your blog. Good times.

So funny that he thought he needed to pee outside to be a true construction worker. lol

I'm not sure I'm totally ready for more "crappy" conversations from Alex too. If that's what little boys are like I guess I'd better prepare myself.
