More McKenna

Okay, I know that all my kids deserve equal billing, but this chick keeps stealing the show. Here are a few more "McKenna Moments".

-Because we have a soccer field in our backyard occasionally we have a stray ball fly over the fence. On one such occasion we had a soccer player come to the front door and ask if she could go get her ball. I said, sure. She walked through the house into the backyard, found her ball, then walked back out the front door. Upon shutting the door McKenna exclaims, "She is my best friend".

Really? Cause I'm pretty sure you just met her like 30 seconds ago. I guess it doesn't take long to fall into McKenna's good graces, but don't hold your breathe, she is a fair weathered friend indeed!

-Over the past several weeks Ken has been growing a beard. He asked McKenna if she liked his beard. She replied, "Yeah, all except the hair part, you need to shave!"

-Sometimes getting McKenna to bed can be a nightmare. It's at these times when Ken and I wonder if there's isn't something 'wrong' with her. After a severe scolding and threats to her little life (I hope everyone can read between the humor and know that I am kidding, we really don't threaten her life, not out loud anyway.)Ken and I will often think she must be crazy if she doesn't listen THIS time, only to have our fears confirmed...she really is crazy...cause she's out of bed AGAIN! This will instantly provoke a look to each other that silently says, "there is something wrong with that child".

This is one of her famous 'one liner's' to prolong her bedtime.

Me: McKenna, it's time to go get into bed.

McKenna: No, my beds too ugly.

Me: Fine, go get into my bed.

McKenna: No, your bed is too ugly, too.

This goes on until we establish that all the beds we own in our house are too ugly for her to sleep in. Eventually after a knock-down-drag-out she goes to sleep in her ugly bed.

-Check out the ensemble (of her own creation) she wore today...

Just after I took this picture she announced that she had a wedgie.

Funny, Funny girl!

Oh my. She makes me laugh out loud in my cubicle. Everyone keeps asking me what's so funny. :)

So darn funny! It looks like she was doing a pretty good job of taking care of that wedgie while you were taking the pic of her super stylin outfit.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but I'm not on your blog list....(tear).

She could possibly be EmberLee's little sister.....except for the part where my kids have no bum....Very similar :)
