"Stewey" the Turkey

Over the last few months of unemployment we have had many wonderful blessings...mostly in the form of "random acts of kindness". I've wanted to post a blog all about how thankful we are for loving, compassionate, amazing friends...but I haven't been able to put my feelings into words. Some things are still a little too tender for me to think about. But...I did want to share with you one of the blessings we received Monday night.

Meet "Stewey" the turkey...

Stewey showed up on our front porch last night packed full of Thanksgiving grub. Whoever brought Mr. Turkey didn't miss a thing...He was stuffed full of everything needed for a fantastic Thanksgiving feast. I know there are a lot of people in this world who need "Stewey" more than we do, but it sure feels nice to have people around that care and look out for one another. We are humbled and so very grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Isn't it awesome to be reminded that the Lord is aware of you and your family?

WOW!!! I reminds me of the first year I was a single mom. I was able to recieve "Fred" not Stewey...but what was inside was something that filled my eyes and my heart with overwhelming love and Thanks. I am truly grateful that you guys will be OK. You deserve to be on the opposite end of compassion. You have served me and my family also. I'm glad to see this turn around and now it's your turn to receive. We love you and your family very much. I hope your Thanksgiving will be WONDERFUL :)

I loved reading that! I couldn't hold back the tears as I read how there are such good, loving people and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more. You and your family are great. I hope you have wonderful Holidays!

That is a wonderful story. Your family really does deserve it. You have helped so many of us out without even a second thought and it is so wonderful to see that you are receiving the same acts of kindness. I really miss you guys. It is so hard living so far away. I hope there will be time this busy season for us to get together again.
