Three of our five school age children went back to school today. Yeah for me! Actually, today was such a busy day I hardly had time to enjoy just having three at home. And to be honest, I know I've really been talking up this 'back to school' thing, but I really missed the kids today. It was early out day today, still it seemed like they were gone forever. I was anxious to see them at the end of the day. They each reported having a good first day.
Sydney is in 5th grade this year. She will turn 10 on Sunday. I think she is the youngest in her class. Math is her strength. She has a male teacher this year for the first time, she says he's very funny.

Kaylie is in the 3rd grade this year. She is eight. She came home and said, she has the most organized teacher ever! I thought it was so funny that Kaylie even noticed. Kaylie's strength is reading, she loves books.

I laughed when you said you missed your kids even though you have been looking forward to back to school for so long. I felt the same way! I was so excited to get them off to school and yet as I drove away from the school (we were running super late as usual) I almost started to cry. I missed my girls. I too couldn't wait for them to get home. I know this will pass and pass quickly for both of us, but I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one with mixed feelings yesterday.
Cute kids!
what's wrong with you two? LOL, J/k. I only had Austin that left for school yesterday, we had EmberLee's preschool test too though. Kurtis didn't go to school because it was the 8th and 9th graders turn, but they're both gone today :) my kids leave every other weekend so when they're gone for school it's almost like them being gone for the lowlife visit. It's really going to be wierd if Ember get's approved to do preschool next week. Then I'll feel lonely.
It is so good to hear from you!! I was scared, but I am grateful it wasn't more serious. She looks even better today than yesterday, so I am feeling very blessed.
Your kids are darling. I am glad I have your blog, so we can keep in touch. take care (someone is crying- that's my call)
