....let me introduce you to the rash from H-E-double hockey sticks! Todd had surgery in May to improve his speech, one week later he looked like this...

these pictures were taken day two. It only got worse. Day one I took him to his
pediatrician, he said "
Hmm...I don't know what it is, but it sure is an impressive rash" You think! Impressive rash must be a medical
diagnosis, because that's the same thing I heard the next day when I took him to see a Doctor in our ward. It must have sparked some
curiosity because the next day our Dr. friend made a house call to take pictures to show his
colleagues. The
unofficial diagnosis is an allergic reaction to the
Penicillin. Bingo! Sounds good to me. All the Dr.'s agree that this is rare to see a reaction like this after 8 days on an antibiotic, but it makes sense. Sydney once did the same thing after a week of antibiotic. I guess it runs in the family.

Todd was covered head to toe in red spots for about three weeks. He still gets blotchy and purple when he gets cold. But we are so glad to have him back to normal. We frightened a few parents when we took him out in public.
