For those of you hoping this was a post about basketball, sorry it's not.
The March madness I speak of involves the crazy happenings of your lives.
Here's March in review...
This semester will be wrapping up in a few weeks...which means Ken will be graduating very soon. That fact hasn't really sunk in yet since we are still in the thick of studying and homework. I can hardly even believe that this chapter in our lives is coming to a close. I plan to savor every minute he is not in school before he goes back to get his Master's, which won't be for a while.
Emma's taking a little whack at Dad's accounting homework. Good luck, guys.
Ken has been super supportive of me this semester. Many Saturday's after returning home from class I'll find him cleaning the kitchen.
I guess it can get pretty rough when I'm got...Ken's resorted to packin' some heat in his back pockets.
Just kidding, he has everything under control and the kids love having Dad all to themselves on Saturday mornings.
St. Patty's Day was a fun celebration of green colored food and fun.
I made the best corned beef and cabbage. I have only ever attempted this 2 other times in my marriage and both times were a complete disappointment. But not this time. I cooked that corned beef for so long that it just fell apart. Mmmm....Heavenly.
Yum!
We also celebrated with green pancakes and green scramble eggs.
And finally a dual celebration of St. Patrick's Day/Kids Good Grades Day with green chocolate mint ice-cream cones.
This little space is where we have been eating for a good month now. I have the dining room all discombobulated due to the painting project I have started but have still yet to finish. This makes for some COZY dinners.
Next up...
Bathing beauties...
These two remind me of Oompa-Loopa's for some reason.
These two are used to be the same height.
As you can see Kaylie is going through a growth spurt. Ty is not extremely thrilled about this. He brags to Kaylie when he's having growing pains as if it's a threat. Someday Ty will be taller than Kay but I think he has a few years to go. In the mean time Kaylie is enjoying her extra couple inches.
Sydney got one of her art pieces chosen to represent Lakeridge Jr. High at the UVU art show.
She was pretty excited about that.
It's actually hanging the wrong way, but still beautiful.
Congrats, Syd!
Aftyn is now 14 months. Wow! She is growing like a weed, like all kids do. She walks all around the house. She loves to be outside. She is partial to anyone holding food. She babbles sweet little noises and some loud not so sweet ones too. She is getting more independent which is fun and sad at the same time. Love this baby girl!
Aunt Tami, Sydney, Kaylie, and I had on opportunity to attend the YW's general conference together.
We love this tradition.
Aunt Tami is so cool.
In addition to all these fun activities we've also had the Spring stomach bug. Been passing it around for a couple of weeks. No fun.
Okay, that's March.
I am so looking forward to a beautiful, sunny, warm Spring that last for a least a good solid 3 months.
Anyone think I'm wishful thinking?
I hope not.
I'm ready to get my groove on....outside.
