Here are a bunch of random October happenings that have not yet made it to a blog post.
Check this out...McKenna, Todd, and Tyler all got the Kids with Character award for Trustworthiness. Boo-yah! Way to go, kiddo's.
Little D took scissors to the top of his head. He managed to take out some nice big chunks all while walking down the stairs (talented kid). So his hair started out looking like that...
...and ended up looking like this. Way short, but I still didn't get it short enough to hide the chop marks. Oh well, it adds character.
Tyler earned his Weblos badge, lots of pins, AND his Arrow of Light in cub scouts this month. AWESOME DUDE!
Sydney had her first 8th grade choir concert this week. Lots and lots of beautiful voices.
It would be highly unlike me to not throw in random pictures of Aftyn, so enjoy these October fall pics of our little lady.
And last but certainly NOT least....
Kay broke her arm last night.
The kids were outside playing night games together in the front yard when Sydney, Kaylie and Tyler got tangled up and trip over each other. Ty's bum ended up coming down on Kaylie's arm and she fractured her radius. It's just a buckle fracture and she was really brave. She didn't even cry even though I know it was really hurting her. This is Kaylie's first broken bone. Welcome to the club, Kay.
Emma is the only one not featured in a picture, but I don't want to leave her out. We had parent teacher conferences last week and I want everyone to know that EMMA ROCKS THE HOUSE. She is one smart cookie and I want her to know that we are very proud of her accomplishments and hard work.

Nancy,
Thank you so much for your sweet note on our blog. Your kindness means the world to us.
You are more than welcome to use a portion of my article. I only ask that you cite it and link it. I am grateful that you too found inspiration in that story. It was quite poignant for me. Now for the application . . .
God Bless, friend. May God Bless you and your quiverful of children. xoxoxoxo
Great post as usual. Fun to keep up with the happenings at the Roberts household.
Poor Kaylie!!!! Give her a hug for me and tell her I hope it gets better really soon.
I love your posts. Tell Kaylee to feel better soon. Not fun to have a broken arm!
