Happy Halloween

Saturday night we made some creepy Halloween spider cookies for the kids to take to a Halloween party.

Kinda cute little creepy crawlers, aren't they?

This year in the interests of time (it takes FOREVER to carve 10 pumpkins) I gave the kids an option to either paint or carve their pumpkins. All but Todd decided to paint their pumpkins, Todd opted to carve his.

Mommy's -Grandma pumpkin.

Emma's - Ghost pumpkin.

Daric's -Elmo Pumpkin.

Ty's -Army pumpkin.

Kaylie's -BYU rocks/Utes SUCK pumpkin.

McKenna's -Butterfly pumpkin.
Todd's carved pumpkin.
Aftyn's (painted by Sydney) -spoiled rotten baby pumpkin.

And now for the costumes. By the way none of which I had to put together or buy anything for, Yee-ha! Halloween is not my favorite holiday for mostly that reason. I hate spending money on costumes, and I hate having to think about what the kids are going to be. Thankfully they are getting old enough and the costume box is getting big enough that they can put their own costumes together. I like that!
Aftyn is a sweet little kitty-cat.

Todd is a mix between a construction worker and Bob the builder.

Emma is little miss pioneer girl.

This is one of Kaylie's good ole favorites, a cow-girl.

Baby Sydney

Military Man Ty

McKenna is a Fairy Princess, Ballerina.

Don't mess with Army Man, Daric.

The whole gang all together.

And finally the loot!
This is all the "left-overs". Originally, I was thinking I would let the kids pick out their 10 favorite pieces then get rid of all the rest. But I started feeling a little bad about that so instead I let them pick out their favorite 30 pieces and we decided we would send the rest to their cousins serving missions. They were all happy with that, except for McKenna, she wanted all her candy to herself. She's 4 and not so much into sharing when it comes to chocolate.

We all had a fun night together.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE!

I love the idea of panting pumpkins! I might do that next year. Your kids look so great in their costumes. I just love seeing the kids have such a good time!
