I just got back from my first OB appointment. I explained to the doctor that I have been feeling really nauseous already. With my other pregnancies I didn't remember feeling this sick this fast. During the ultrasound he said...."I know why you've been so sick"...then I just KNEW. Next he said..."Here is one heartbeat...and here is the other...your having twins".
Ken had to go sit down so he didn't faint and I began to cry with a flood of emotions hitting me like a ton of bricks. We are of course still adjusting to the news but are very excited to not only welcome one baby, but two into our home. We are also very nervous and scared. I would love prayers for healthy babies in our behalf.

You are amazing! Just for the record, I will not be trying to catch up with you:) I tried to call you the other day to see how you have been feeling, now I know. Congrats...I always wanted to be a twin.
Wow!!!! Your family is so great that the spirits in heaven are hitching rides to be able to join your family. You are amazing parents and you will do great with twins.
Holy cow! I didn't know you were expecting!! And twins!! Wow! Well these little babies are lucky to be joining your fun, wonderful family! They'll have lots of siblings to love and help care for them! Good luck with this pregnancy! Congratulations!
How exciting!!! I beat you guys about died when you found out. Well I guess you were meant to have nine children not just eight. Being a twin is really fun (I should know)!! They will grow up being the best of friends. All I can really say though is GOOD LUCK, if anyone can do it it is you two.
I told Jake today and he looked at me with a big smile and said, "well if anyone could do it, they can." I think he said it perfect. You have always been at the top of my list for amazing parents. Someone I have always admired. I think I have respected you more when I found out that you have bad days too. I am still in shock that this has happened to someone I know. Our prayers are with you and those babies. They're with the rest of your family as well, but my true concern is for you during this pregnancy and those babies your growing. We love you guys and you have our prayers and complete support :)
I want all of you to know how much I appreciate your kind words and support. This has hit me in such a different way. I've never taken for granted the fact that we don't struggle to have children. Aside from belonging to the true and everlasting Gospel and having Nancy as my eternal companion, having children has been the greatest blessing to me. I value and love each one of them individually. I feel like I just won the lottery to have the opportunity to be the father of 9 wonderful children (I know the twins will be wonderful even though they're not here yet). I've been very emotional and grateful with this news. We've already been showered with attention since yesterday and it's been neat to feel the love from all of you. We are so excited and nervous. Your prayers on Nancy's and our twin baby's behalf are so important and appreciated. I sincerely love and appreciate all of you. Sincerely, Ken
Okay, here's my official congratulations. CONGRATULATIONS!! I was talking to some women at church today and we are all in agreement that you are up for the job, so don't worry, we think you can do it, so you can! I will pray for you every day. I love your friendship and example. What you said today was perfect for the girls. Were you shakin' in your boots when they were so noisy for Gaylene? I knew they would be more quiet for you because you carry that special spirit that says, "LISTEN TO ME!!" Okay, enough with the novel.....I love you!
That is crazy! Your family must be doing something right for Heavenly Father to send you these babies. If anyone can handle it, it is you! Congratulations.

Wow! As a mom of twins, I know the roller coaster you're just beginning. My twins are turning 10 next week! :) CONGRATULATIONS
