Roberts Wrap-Up : March

Another month has come and gone...This is our March.

First up is my hairy husband. Check out the new facial hair. Me likey! Ken came back from Texas about 10 pounds heavier and a whole lot hairier. I think he looks HOT!
The kiddos have been enjoying the nice Spring weather. Of course, March has been a funny month....sunny one minute, snowing the next.

We have had some beautiful days and I predict this will be a FUN and ADVENTUROUS summer for Daric.

Sydney and Tyler began taking piano lessons again this month. It has been nearly 2 years since the kids have been in lessons. They are doing great and enjoying playing again.

Tyler is healing nicely from his dog bite. And so far we have had no further dog problems.

Here's the fam just after Ken got home from Texas after a week of being gone. Kaylie made him a welcome home sign and hung it in the front window.
Sydney is in jammies because she was sick ALL week. This is the first time all day that she has even been up. Whatever she had was YUCKY!

I got ambitious one day and decided to change a few things around the house that have been bothering me. We don't have the money to remodel, but I did take down a few things that were WAY too old.
I cut the tassels off the curtains in the office. BYE, BYE, green tassels....you won't be missed!

Here are my MEN shopping at Lowe's. Aren't they SO cute? They look like they are searching for something important...and they were...nature is calling.

I got tired of looking at the icky lights in the kitchen. We used to have those semi-clear, fussy looking plastic covers that went in between the wooden lattes. One was missing, one was cracked, and many were yellowing. I decided to take them out. Then I decided to take the whole thing out. Now the kitchen reminds me of the surface of the sun, it's so bright! We now have some patching and painting to do. But when it is finished (which will be...who knows when?) it will be a BIG improvement.

For those of you that have been to my house I took down the ugly green curtains on the door. I love green, but these were the 70's green and I was NOT a fan. The door and windows are bare, but again I am liking it so much more.

This month all the kids had a trip to the dentist. Poor Kaylie is the only one that dislikes going, she is also the only one who's ever had a cavity. She HATES going to the dentist. This is truly torture for her. This was a sad day in Kaylie's life.

I spyed Mr. Fix-it heading down stairs with his tool box. RED FLAGS started flying in my head. This child is notorious for destruction. He loves to take things apart. He loves tool. And he is SO helpful (wink, wink). I followed him to investigate, sure that he was about to disassemble something. To my surprise I was wrong. Mr. Fix-it was actually planning on putting something back together. He felt like the banister leading downstairs was getting loose, so he whipped out his screwdriver and tightened all the screws. Good job, buddy!

Tyler is now a BRACE FACE....this is Tyler before....

This is Tyler during....(that looks comfy, doesn't it?!)

And here is my handsome TY-GUY afterward. He was super-hero brave and never complained.

Check out McKenna's cute little hair-do. If I sound like I'm bragging I'm really not, because I totally stole this idea. But still I thought it was too cute not to share. On Sunday I saw a little girl with this Cris-cross thing going on...I loved it so I decided to try it on McKenna today. The only difference was the other little girl has these gorgeous ringlets at the bottom of her pony-tails. Since McKenna's hair is bone straight I decided to incorporate yet another stolen idea and give her little messy bun sorta things at the end.

Well that's our month....at least the parts I took pictures of. I know this was a long post, thanks for hanging in there. You guys ROCK!

Wow! You've been busy! :) Lucky girl, your husband will grow facial hair. Mine is on strike at the moment. He says he's tired of it. Whatever.

I love your monthly wrap-ups! They are so much fun. I love to see all the many things you all are up to. Tyler looks good in braces. They'll be off before you know it. McKenna's hair looks so cute. You are way tallented. I need to take a page out of your book and start projects around the house too. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Her hair looks adorable. My two girls can't be bothered to let me do anything fun - and what is the point of having girls if you can't do things to their hair? :)

How is Todd's speech coming along? I love your blog, especially because it is so REAL. You are awesome, clever AND creative. I wish we lived closer. :(

Yes, I do love being a mother. I love reading your blog as well. It makes me feel like although we don't get to see each other, we still know a little of what is going on. It is always good to hear from you. Thanks!
love,
