July Happenings
Okay, I am having trouble moving my pictures around, so this post is a little random, and completely backwards. But here are a few of our July happenings.
The other day Ken and I took the kids to the Thanksgiving point barn. We had lots of fun.
The kids got to ride the ponies. Emma was so very excited...this was her first horsie ride. Even McKenna did great. I thought she would be afraid, but no she got right on then didn't want to get off.
Here's my little cutie.
And McKenna...I can't resist taking pictures of the kids and I love these window well pics.
The kids also got to go to jail...which they quite enjoyed. Perhaps Ken and I are sending the wrong message. Maybe we need to have them repeat...Jail is not fun, jail is not fun...until I'm convinced they never want to go there.
The kids loved the animals. They had two tiny baby ponies and a calf that were so cute.
These goats were out of control spastic about eating the corn. They loved it...the poor little ones didn't stand a chance though...these big ones were very pushy.
Last weekend we took a super fun trip down the Cedar City to visit Ken's brother and family. This is a small fashion show with some of the cousins. These kids were definitely creative in their choice of wardrobe.
We also had the opportunity to visit Zion's National Park for the first time. We went hiking and picnicked.
The kids saw tons...I mean tons...of squirrels and some lizards. The squirrels were not afraid at all and would come right up to you. They wanted food!
We also were able to attend some of the Shakespeare Festival in town. I loved the singing and dancing and the best part was it was free! They do 30hr. evening performances. Very cool.
On Pioneer day we went to the parade. This is a food storage float. Only in Utah!
This is my niece walking will her ward float. Go Ashlee!
The gang.
Ken and his brother Tim after the 1 mile run before the parade.
Here's my man during the run. He was none too thrilled that I snapped this picture just as he was being passed by a girl. You did great, baby!
This is just a random photo of my babies. McKenna was so excited to hold Daric. She was feeling like a big girl.
Little D's first popsicle. It's been HOT! He just barely cut his first tooth. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever pop though. He is also crawling all over the place.

YOu have such a nice family! It sounds like you have been a fun summer! I will sure miss bumping into you in the halls at church when we got to our new building in a couple of weeks.
I've been meaning to go to the Thanksgiving Point petting zoo, now I HAVE to go.
And even though I was only there for a year, I enjoyed Cedar City. The national parks are so close and so wonderful. It looks like July treated you right!
That's great that you had so much fun. I love the pics, you are really good at taking great shots. I'd love to get together one more time before summer is over. Maybe I could talk you into taking great pics of my kiddos.
Great pictures, Nancy. The kids are going through withdrawals without their cousins to play with! We loved having you guys here. You'll have to come back soon!!
