I know that many of you are wondering how that adorable baby of mine is doing...so I'll tell you. He is wonderful! Wanna see?
Here is a picture of my three little men...I through it in just because I like it. Aren't they handsome?
Sydney went to Clear Creek last week for an overnighter with the 5th grade girls. They left Thursday and came back Friday. She was so excited. She did all her packing herself (a week early). She really had a great time. This is the only time Sydney has ever slept away from home without mom & dad. Truthfully I was a little nervous to let her go, but I know I need to let her grow-up. Sydney has actually has a lot of 'firsts' lately. She got her first stick of deodorant for Christmas. She had her first zit a few weeks ago. And now her first sleepover. Heaven help me my baby is growing up!
Last week I spent three days canning chicken. I'm feeling a need to stock up on my food storage. I was able to can 72 pints. That was 80 lbs. of chicken. I have also been taking advantage of some grocery sales. It feels good to stock up. I love a good deal and I love a full pantry.
That's it for now...it's taken me way too long to post this amongst the constant flurry of chaos in my house.

I love these kind of posts - just to see what's going on in your life. Baby Daric is a doll, as are your other beautiful children.
Nancy,
are you finding good prices on chicken lately? I spent all day Saturday working on my food storage too. Had to buy new foods, barrels of water, and I need to do more chicken or turkey. I've got it all stacked in my downstairs hallway now and the big job is organizing it in the storage room!
Daric has Maycee beat. She is only 10 1/2 lbs. She is starting to get the chubby legs and cheeks. I love her smile and she is way ticklish. Three mths flies by. You are awesome with your food storage. Where do you usually get your chicken in bulk like that and what do you use it for?
You're still amazing! I don't know how you're doing it with so many kids so close together...and canning, and parties, and all the other amazing things! I've only got four, and I'm barely able to get the laundry folded on time!!!!! Kudos to you! (Now share with me all your secrets!!!!!) (:
...And yes, Daric IS adorable! (:
How do you can chicken? Daric is growing too fast! He looks so adorable! Thanks for a great blog!
Ann- The chicken I canned I bought a while ago from Reams. Macey's had chicken on sale last week for $1.29 per lb. But I don't know if it is still on sale.
Dione- Macey's and Ream's are the only places that I have found that sell chicken in bulk. They come in 40lb. boxes. Or my sister and I have gone down to Moroni to the turkey farm. I use it for enchaladas, quasedillas, salads, sandwiches, or add to pasta. BTW Daric is now 12lbs.5oz.
Kari-Canning chicken is easy, but time consuming. You just pack pint jars full of chicken add some salt and cook in a pressure cooker for 90 min.
Wow Nancy! how do you do it? Hows the new house? miss ya!
Nancy - Thank you for your nice comment. Baby Daric is so adorable, as are all of your kids. I agree with everyone else. You do such am amazing job as a wife and mother. Let's get together soon, I could definitely use a break! - Sharley
How do you can chicken? It's bittersweet when your kids have their "first'". You handle it so well. LOL At least on the outside. :)
