This was really hard for me. I had been enjoying snuggling and cuddling with him so much. I have barely put him down in five days, now I couldn't hold him, unless I was feeding or changing him. This was a long day and night. Sunday morning I took him back to the hospital for another test, then back home again under the lights. Around noon we heard from the nurse that his levels were now fine and we could take him out of the lights. Oh, thank heavens...my stress level just decreased dramatically.
He is now doing fine...actually he always seemed to be doing fine. He is so much fun to love and hold and snuggle. I am thankful I can now do that again anytime I want.

That is my favorite thing about newborns - the holding & snuggling. It really is hard to put them down. Hold him extra long for me tomorrow!
Congratulations! Wow! 7 kids! You are amazing. We've had our first four pretty close together, and now I think we've finally decided we'll need more spacing before the next one... (:
Our second had to be in the blue lights for 2 weeks!!! I know how you feel. It's amazing the blessings technology can bring!
Oooh, sweet boy. I'm glad he's off the bililights and can be snuggled again.
Nancy, just FYI, we haven't forgotten to come see you guys. We're all just sick and don't want to spread the germies. We'll be down asap, when we're all better. Love you, Craig
Under the lights for just one day. Hmmm. It just happens to be the very day that we come to visit. Coincidence? I think not! You will go to great lengths to keep us away from your baby. We weren't going to hurt him. I know I am a klutz and you may have been nervous that I would drop him, but I promise I have gotten better. I learned to sit on the floor when I hold babies, that way if I do drop them they don't have far to fall. Now that he isn't "under the lights" anymore you'll have no more excuses next time we come to visit. : )
