The great licorice debate. Well the results are in...Red Vines won hands down. Thank you all, you proved my case! You are all still my friends. Twislers is cherry wax. It's okay if you like cherry wax, as long as you don't consider it 'real' classic licorice.
Unless you grew up on Harney St. in Portland, Oregon this memory will mean nothing to you. But, when I was little we (me & my bro.'s) would cross the busy 72nd St. (for my Orem neighbors it like crossing Main St., we were so tough!) and walk up to the Little League Baseball Park. At the concession stand I would buy a Red Vines licorice rope then watch the game. That was classic America and classic licorice.
Thumbs up to good old fashion Red Vines...sorry Twislers you don't even compare.
