My
niece Juliann spent the week with us last week. She is not officially a "teen" until the end of the month. Still she educated me a little on the teen scene. First, cell phones-Almost all teens have them now and they are very good at using them. No instructions required they know exactly what they are doing. Number two, teens clean better than children. At least the ones Ann produces. I will have an army of cleaners in a few years. Julie scrubbed around my toilet on her hands and knees, she scrubbed my kitchen walls, cleaned the frig. and freezer, mopped the floor, rearranged furniture downstairs, and babysat for me. I think she is for hire all summer if you need her! She was wonderful! But, before you all get excited for your children to grow into teens, let me also warn you. They still leave their shoes all over the place, and articles of clothing spread throughout the house. Teens seem to get hyper right around bedtime, bedtime is late by the way, but they sleep in. Teens eat breakfast between 10:30 -11:00 am.
Julie also taught my children how to successfully escape from duct tape. Don't ask how she knows, that is not important. What is important is that my children may need that skill someday. So far it has just been an idle threat, but now that I know they have had special training I may just put them to the test!
Teens are also skilled in the art of glitz and glamour. Fingernail polish and make-up are 2nd nature. Julie gave each of the girls a make over. Except McKenna, Julie wanted to except I threatened her life so she changed her mind.

Scary, I mean beautiful, huh? Julie got a hold of Tyler too, he looked just as "nice". I didn't take any pictures of him, I realized I have many pictures of the boys cross dressing and it is starting to frighten me.
We loved having Julie stay with us. I hope it wasn't too boring for her. My girls are already asking when they can get together again. Thanks for the "teen" educational experience, I am not a frightened now as I once was.

Sign me up! when can I have her?
I had her here with your daughter, and I actually came back not scared, they definitely earned they're money. And my baby got his nap and was still alive. I'd do that again any day. I don't know that I want my kids having lessons on how to be a teen though, Kurt's almost there, but I'm pretty sure boys are different. Send her this way, I'm sure her mother won't mind LOL.
Yikes to the make-overs!
