The Days of 47...PBR!

Ken got tickets from work to go to the Rodeo on Saturday, the professional BULL RIDERS RODEO that is. We are not huge rodeo fans by it was really fun! Key Bank has a suite at the Energy Solutions Arena, so we had great seats and yummy food.
This is us watching the Rodeo! Craig and Julianna are really good at the 'hold the camera in front of your face shots' I am not. Want to see my first attempt?
I forgot I had the zoom on. Ken is now in charge of the self-portraits shots. But, anyway back to the rodeo.

Yeah, look at the Buffalo. Aren't they cute? Buffalo and horses are my favorite animals. I once tried to get Ken to stand by a Buffalo on our honeymoon so I could get a picture, he refused. I don't understand why, they look so soft and snugly. I'm sure they only gore people when provoked, right? Kind of like bees, leave them alone and they won't string. I only asked him to stand by the buffalo not stand on its back. Go figure! Okay, anyway back to the rodeo.

This is a bull, in fact all the cowie looking animals were bulls. Makes sense, we were at a bull riding competition. Okay, so here we have it, no lady cows, only man bulls. Apparently, not just humans struggle with same-sex attraction, cause I saw some freaky stuff going on. Anyway, back to the rodeo.

Rodeos are kind of like Hockey. In Hockey nobody goes for the game, what you really want to see is a bloody bench clearing brawl. A good smack against the glass, stuff like that. The rodeo is sorta the same way, sure you cheer with excitement when a rider has an 8 second ride. That's cool, but you know that morbid sick side of you is just waiting for one of those bulls to take down a clown or something. Don't deny it you know I'm right!

Nice closeup pictures. They're better than mine. Anyway, you are so right about hockey and the rodeo. I loved going to hockey games but it wasn't for the team I was supposed to be supporting, it was to see the blood that almost always happens in a game. I have never been to a bull riding rodeo before but I have seen enough of the bull vs. man accidents on outrageous video shows to know that I would be watchin for the poundin of the bull. I can't believe that we women are so morbid like that. We're supposed to be so gentle and loving. Anyway, glad you had fun at the rodeo despite the freaky stuff the bulls were doing with eachother. Sorry for the long comment.

Nancy, you went because you wanted to see something happen right? LOL That's exactly why I'd be going. That looked kind of fun though. I wouldn't be caught standing next to a buffalo either. Looks are deceiving that's for sure, they're not cuddly by no means. I don't know how I missed this blog. but I did.
